What was your life like before going on The Bachelor?
Before going on The Bachelor, it was kind of the same. I was working as a flight attendant. My schedule is different every month, and it’s also flexible. I get to fly anywhere for free. I travel a lot for work, but I get to take trips. This weekend I’m going to LA to visit Samantha from The Bachelor and Amber.
Why did you decide to go on the show?
I had been watching the show for two years. I was watching Andi’s season. I saw that there was a casting in New York. I thought it would be a cool experience to travel out there and meet the bachelor. And, I was hoping it was Chris! In my mind, I thought it would be so cool and have this story of how I met my husband if it came down to that. But, if it didn’t end in an engagement or marriage, it would be a cool experience. I’ve never done anything like that before. I’m not an actress. I’m one of the normal people.
What was your relationship like with Chris?
Well, the first night is a whirl wind. The whole night you’re trying to get a chance to talk to him. I talked to him for about 5 minutes. He puts you at ease. He has a calming, at ease, personality. After meeting him, I didn’t feel like there was a strong connection. I was only on the show for 2 1/2 weeks. I probably talked to him a total of 12 minutes. I didn’t really establish a relationship with him. The underlining chemistry was missing.
So, you weren’t that upset that you were eliminated?
I was upset because it is so much fun being there. I had so much fun with the other girls. But, I don’t think the environment is for me. You’re constantly being filmed and it’s a high anxiety situation. When it comes to guys, I like to be approached and be pursued. And, I’m not aggressive. When it gets down to it, I didn’t think I would be able to foster a relationship in that kind of environment.
How was the zombie date?
It was a lot of fun. I had never done paint balling before. We able to run around like crazy and run around. It was light hearted and care free. It wasn’t serious, and it was right before Halloween. I actually didn’t get to talk to Chris that night! But, being on that date was a lot of fun.
What was up with Ashley S.?!
I know! Honestly, I did see her drinking a lot. But, at the same time, I’ve seen a lot of drunk people in my day, but they never acted like that. I thought maybe that’s just her personality! Maybe mixed with drinking, she was acting like that.
Now that you’re off the show, how has your life changed?
I do have a lot more people that recognize me when I’m out. It got me a date this past weekend! A guy asked me if I was on The Bachelor! He knew I was Alissa and he asked me out for drinks. I thought, maybe this notoriety will help me out after all, even if it’s not with Chris!
I was going to ask you if you’ve found love.
I have not, unfortunately. I haven’t done much dating. My schedule is kind of crazy. I don’t get the opportunity to go out. And when I do, I like being with friends and not being on the prowl.
Tell me about your Italian roots.
My dad has family in Casteltermini, Sicily. I went to visit them in 2005 with my family. I met my relatives! They were so welcoming! My mom’s maiden last name is Costantini. I think they’re from Palermo.
Going back to The Bachelor, who do you think is the best girl for Chris?
My pick is Becca. She is so, so kind, and so funny. Really down to earth. I can see her living in Iowa.
What are your plans for the future?
I am thinking now about making a potential move to LA or San Diego. I kind of want a change! I’m kind of ready to make a move. The girls that have moved out there, absolutely love it. Since I don’t know what I want to do, it’s a place where I can decide.
