I went in for a regular mammogram, and my doctor spotted a cancerous cell the size of a speck of a pepper. Because my doctor found this cancer so early on, this increased my chance for survival. Early detection is so important when treating breast cancer. Since I didn’t have a big lump, it didn’t have time to spread. I went through a lighter treatment of chemotherapy. When I was cancer free, I brought biscotti to all of my doctors. I really encourage women to go in for routine mammograms, because early detection will save your life.
