Do you ever wonder where candy canes came from? Long ago, a candy maker wanted to create a piece of candy that would represent Jesus at Christmas. He wanted the candy to be in the shape of a “J” for Jesus, and when turned upside down, the staff of the Good Shepherd. Then, he made the candy white to represent purity, and the red for Jesus’ blood. The peppermint flavor is supposed to symbolize the spices that were gifts from the Wise Men. This Christmas, remember the sweetest gift of all — Jesus!
