Cyndi and Tim

Oct. 3, 1981

Fox Lake, IL

Tim and I met at McDonalds. He was sitting in his car in the parking lot and blasting music. I walked over to him and I said I liked the song he was playing. He replied, “maybe we can listen to it together sometime.” I told him that would be fun and then walked away. Since I didn’t give him my name or phone number, he followed me home! When we got to my house, Tim and I went for a drive. Our first date was at a drive-in movie. I knew Tim was “the one” shortly after I started dating him.

Tim proposed to me on Christmas Day. He had a big box filled with a bunch of other boxes. I had to open all of them to get to the ring. We got married at Faith Lutheran Church.

I really loved picking out everything such as the colors, favors, band and the menu. I loved sharing the excitement with my bridesmaids and maid of honor. The downside of planning a wedding is that sometimes there are family disagreements, which are silly in the long run. Brides should have fun and enjoy their special day!
