I learned to not take anyone or anything for granted. This has been the first time in my lifetime (except for 9/11) that it has been apparent that things can change in an instant.
I always wanted to go to Italy. However, I never took a trip there. I always put it off. Now, I don’t know when I’ll ever get to go to Italy. It makes me sad that I pushed something off when I could’ve done it. Now, I will never wait to do something I want to do. We never know how long something will be there and we shouldn’t just assume that everything we have will be available to us. Nothing is a guarantee. I will do all of my traveling as soon as it’s safe, and I won’t hesitate.
At the beginning of the lockdown, I hadn’t seen my grandma for two months. It was so hard to be away from her. I learned to enjoy every moment with the people in my life. It’s important to put down the phone and be present.
I am so grateful for MY JOB! So many people I know have lost their jobs. Making money and having an income is a human necessity.
